Kivella support
Kivella is a pantry, recipe, meal-planning and nutrition app for iPhone, iPad and Android. This page answers common questions. If you need more help, email us.
Contact us
Email support@kivella.app. Your message goes to the Kivella team.
To help us look into a problem, include your device (iPhone, iPad or Android), the app version and what you were doing when it happened. Please don't send passwords or payment card details.
Manage or cancel Kivella Pro
Kivella Pro is billed by the App Store or Google Play, so you change or cancel it there.
- iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. You can also open the App Store, tap your account picture, then Subscriptions.
- Android: open Google Play, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Deleting the app or your Kivella account doesn't cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your store account as well.
Restore purchases
If you already pay for Kivella Pro but the app shows the Free plan, open Kivella, go to your Profile and tap the subscription card. Use the restore option on the subscription screen. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you subscribed with.
Household sharing
Household sharing is part of Kivella Pro. A household shares its pantry, shopping list and meal plan, for up to 5 people in total. Only an owner with an active Pro subscription can send invites. The owner's Pro covers the other members, and the household shares one set of allowances.
A recipe didn't import
Kivella imports recipes from supported recipe websites. It reads the recipe details the page provides, and it tells you when it can't find a recipe instead of inventing one.
YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook posts import only when the caption, description or transcript contains the recipe. Kivella can't watch the video itself. Private or blocked posts can't be read. Pinterest links and video files aren't supported.
If an import fails, you can add the recipe by hand or take a photo of a printed recipe.
Usage limits
Every plan has limits on scanning and AI features, such as recipe import, receipt scans and food-photo estimates. The Free plan includes small allowances. Kivella Pro has higher allowances, but they still have limits. Allowances reset over time, and some features also have a daily cap.
AI features need an internet connection. See Kivella pricing for what each plan includes.
